Kurtarma Limited (“KTL” or “the Company”) is a newly incorporated agro-allied company born out of the desire to solve the problem of waste/scarcity of raw materials in the production/processing of food items such as pasta, flour, noodles, tomato paste, oat, cassava, corn flakes, beer and several other staple food and drinks in the Country. These food items are majorly the product of raw materials such as corn, wheat, tomato, millet, oat, barley, millet, sorghum, etc.

While some of these raw materials are being produced in Nigeria, their usage is mainly provided for by importation from Europe and North America. For instance, Nigeria’s consumption of wheat is about 4.2 – 4.7 million Metric Tonnes annually . On the other hand, Nigeria produces just 400,000 Metric Tonnes of wheat per annum, representing just 10% of its annual consumption. It is such gap/deficiency that KTL intends to fill, through mechanised farming and improved seedling technology.
